Ranging behaviour of little bustard males, Tetrax tetrax, in the lekking grounds

New article led by Anna Ponjoan (CTFC-UB) and published in Behavioural Processes in which Gerard Bota (BACLab)-CTFC) and Santi Mañosa (UB) has participated.

This article provides new information about the ranging behaviour of little bustard (Tetrax tetrax) males – threatened steppe land bird specie – within the leks during breeding season and underlying factors causing ranging behaviour variation. Male age, habitat quality and site have been identified as determining factors. As their age and social status increased, males reduced and concentrated the home range.
